Life360 is taking advantage of growing interest in its free family member GPS tracking app overseas to sell premium services in 13 new countries.

Last year, Life 360 started to see a surprising number of downloads of its family location-sharing app overseas, despite the fact that it wasn’t fully supporting the iPhone and Android apps’ capabilities internationally. At the time, CEO Chris Hulls said the company recognized a big opportunity for global expansion. Now the startup is finally ready to jump on it.

Life360 is now offering its core geofencing and family member GPS-tracking features beyond the U.S. in 13 countries:  India, Brazil, UK, South Korea, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Indonesia, Colombia, Canada and Australia. It also announced Thursday that it is launching its app on Windows Phone, due to its higher popularity in Europe, and will support seven new languages: Spanish, German, Korean, Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Indonesian.

There will be a few missing premium features in those new countries — stolen phone tracking and the ability to contact a live operator for instance — but customers in the expanded global footprint will now have access to the local SMS and in-app push notifications, which allow families to coordinate their daily comings and goings.

Last month, Life360 raised $50 million in Series C funding, half of which came from ADT, the home security and automation company. ADT plans to work with Life360 to expand its security protection services outside of the home.
