New York-based streaming video startup DramaFever has struck a licensing deal with TVB to add Cantonese TV shows, complete with English subtitles, to its service. The deal will initially bring three shows to DramaFever, including The Hippocratic Crush, which kind of sounds like a Chinese Grey’s Anatomy, with more content to be made available in the future.

DramaFever is one of a handful of companies specializing in importing TV shows from other countries into new markets. It now has 15 million monthly active users, and offers content in Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, French, English and Hebrew as well as Chinese. DramaFever sets itself apart from competitors like Viki and Crunchyroll by also licensing its content to U.S. video services, and has become one of the biggest suppliers of foreign-language content to Hulu.
