India could be the first Asian country to reach Mars after it launched a spacecraft bound for the planet this morning. The craft is expected to arrive at the planet next September, when it will begin monitoring methane levels and Mars’ surface. “The journey has only begun,” Indian Space Research Organization chairman Koppillil Radhakrishnan said, according to the Wall Street Journal. “Challenging days are coming.”
