The Moto X just got $100 cheaper — if you’re on AT&T and you order a customized version through Motorola, that is. The Moto Maker site shows that customized phones now cost $99.99 with a two-year contract with 16 GB of internal storage or $149.99 for a 32 GB model.
Noted insider evleaks previously tipped a $100 price drop for the Moto X in Q4 back in August, which it looks like we’re starting to see now. AT&T customers still have exclusive access to Moto Maker, which means it’s the only place to score this deal right now. You can pick up the phone on Amazon for $99.99 on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless, but that only includes the black or white versions.
Interestingly, AT&T’s site still lists the black or white Moto X for $199.99, so it looks like you need to order a customized phone through Motorola to receive the price drop. It still isn’t clear when other carriers will gain access to Moto Maker, or if Moto X prices will soon drop to $99.99 across the board.
