Turns out our lovable robot overlords, which in theory are better at almost everything, are pretty useful when it comes to sniffing out escaping methane at landfills or around gas pipes. The “Gasbot” was created at the AASS Research Centre at Orebro University in Sweden and it uses GPS, laser scanners and a remote gas sensor to help plug those leaks and keep emissions out of the atmosphere.
