The title of this article immediately made me think of Medivizor, which is a relatively new website offering personal information without taking tons of information.

I began using Medivizor a couple of months ago. Actually, I set up two accounts, one for me and one for my mom (we are both breast cancer patients but she was just diagnosed as metastatic).

Yes, a medical profile must be filled out in order for me to receive pertinent information specific to my (or my mom's) current medical situation. The "profile" consisted of a few very basic questions and took less than five minutes. What I've gotten in return is invaluable and has saved me tons of time doing the Dr. Google thing.

I wrote a blog about the site and everyone I have told about Medivizor has been equally impressed. If anyone cares to see what it's all about, the blog post is here:

This is a new site and **for now**, they only support a breast, prostate, colon cancers and diabetes but many more are on the way. You have to sign up and they will send you an invitation if you have one of the previously mentioned diseases.

I've been online since 2006 when I was first diagnosed and Medivizor is different than anything I've seen.

....store detailed personal health information with the goal of personalizing content but, as the demise of Google Health showed, consumer personal health records are a tough nut to crack. People don’t care enough to take the time to fill out online forms if they don’t see the reasons for using them,....

This is the key, of course the consumer doesn't want to fill out online forms, it takes a ton of time, but that does mean they don't see value in having all the information available, big difference between doing something and wanting something.

Check out www.Allayo.com , we have been working on the "doing" part of this problem.
