When most of the revenue of wireless carriers originate from plans including a combination of voice, messaging, data - and a smartphone - nobody knows how much is coming from each service (nor from the smartphone). It is simply an allocation done by operators. Therefore it's not a big thing when allocated data revenue passes allocated voice revenue, rather a technicality.

Consequently, the first operators have stopped reporting this revenue split since they feel it is misleading. See e.g. Orange Israel: www.orange.co.il/PageFiles/57269/PR_Q42012_ENGHEB%20Finalr.pdf
