This sounds like exactly the right approach in every way. Trying to cram too much capability into the watch will negatively impact both the usability and the battery life.
And I really like metal and glass, no plastic. Make it a quality item that’s worthy of Apple.

I think they need to keep it simple. Just an extension/remote to ones iPhone to see alerts. Keep it simple so it has the longest possible battery life. No Siri as we don’t need more chatter in the world. Metal and glass, no plastic. Basically a method for not having to remove the telephone from ones pocket as often. Everything else can be done from the telephone itself.

Actually they need to push it as a payment system and remote for .. everything not just other idevices.
And they can’t launch it with just basic features that folks are speculating on ,you don’t sell tens of million units per quarter with that , they need a hook , at least 1 significant feature that sells the device.

I for one question wether google provides useful and relevant browsing
mining g-mail for keywords…,adwords going to the highest bidder and preferred placement of paid advertisements i am no longer confident that i am seeing items i am shopping for at the lowest price or that information i am finding is not tainted with self interest and padded to improve organic (unpaid) rankings . i personally have switched to other search engines lately and at the very least i double check my google results against another search engine
