I never really knew whether this was true or not until today. I am glad to see there was some fact in what I heard long ago.

This seems to have been due to an oversight by our design team, but is certainly not at the request of Telecom Egypt. TE also supported the production of the 2012 edition of our cable map (URL below), and of our comprehensive interactive map, and you’ll find Israel on both of those.
