I was supporting BlackBerrys for my company in 2006 so they sent me to the WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) run by RIM to prompt BlackBerrys. On the last day they had an open panel with the RIM engineers that you could ask any question and I asked when they would be integrating voice command and other consumer driven technology in their devices. Their response was that they were not really hearing that request from their B2B customers so it was not a focus.

RIM was run by geeks and engineers who understood the foundation of technology but that foundation is not what made, say, Apple great but giving customers what they did not even know they wanted yet. RIM failed at this and will be a failure now.

This looks like a good phone to buy. Nice alternative to iPhone Windows and Android.

Android, I would never consider, already own too much of Apple Mac and iOS, Windows is exciting, but the new BB... Sounds cool.

Plus, even after all these years, nobody has the excellent email support that BB has.

Well , Bb10 seems to be either love or hate , much like Meego and Belle , of which BB10 has distinct elements of both and that`s` a good thing !
The naysayers seem to be either people who haven`t actually tried BB10 , Apple or Google fanboys who perceive a credible threat , or people with a financial interest in influencing BB stocks ...
BB10 is awesome ( I f u like to get stuff done ) , every bit the equal of its rivals , even ahead, if u like being productive !

I think that when we talk about RIM's future we need to specify what kind of future we're discussing. The three broad categories are: great success; taking third or fourth place in the market and remaining there; and going out of business. My feeling, simply based on intuition, is that RIM is likely to occupy the second one.
