Companies like Juniper and Cisco need to be leading the way with innovations. This belated reaction to ideas developed elsewhere only demonstrates how far away they are from moving their longterm business forward. What we have here is a mere announcement of necessary changes, when even a full implementation delivered today would not put them back in the saddle.
