A 35% increase is nice, but it seems to me the current "airport" problem is primarily driven by factors other than a lack of 5 GHz spectrum. One factor is lack of deployment in current 5 GHz spectrum, and WLANs at both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz that were deployed as an afterthought, and should be re-engineered. But, we'll use the 35% eventually.
