Are these really innovative companies or are they merely too slow to react to changing times. Siemans who financially backs Semprius, has just announced they are getting out of the solar business. IMHO the US market will continue to be driven by military needs, with regards to innovation. On the upside it is a great time for utility scale, commercial and residential..provided you can work with quality manufacturers that will still be around to warranty their products.

i can believe solar3d was not mentioned. they are about to finish the final prototype and could be 25% efficient very inexpensive and capture 200% of the light through out the day compared to a conventional solar cell. this is huge but they have little recognition. double the power for and estimated quarter more cost than the conventional cell is astonishing.

Yeah, but the ‘reflectors’ face north. Better check performance numbers before believing any hype.

I think your description of tenKsolar should say “static reflector” as opposed to “reflective coating”. I saw them at SPI in orlando and thought that was an interesting idea. The panels on the left are reflectors.
