Poor developers. If you sold 10,000 of your application. And you sold it for 99 cents, you make a nice $7,000 out of it. Now if an issue comes up where you forced to refund the money because of an issue with the application, you are required to pay back the full $10,000 – not just the $7,000 you made but the $3,000 that Apple took/stole/grabbed. So in effect, you lost $3000.
