Compatible equipment would be a good differentiator for new clubs, but unless the major manufacturers provide cost-effective compatibility add-ons for existing equipment, it will be a long time before existing equipment gets upgraded.

However, wouldn’t it be great if someone solved the problem with a photo app that could recognize and ‘read’ all of the name brand displays?
