It reminds me a bit of Nodeable, once a “hot” startup that was supposed to become a Twitter for DevOps but turned out to be a complete dud.

On a substantive note:
– No one needs another monitoring solution/APM as there are plenty. Just look for NewRelic, ManageEngine, DataDog, etc.
– For alerts, etc, there is PagerDuty and many others
– If they are looking to build a community for DevOps, they are late by about 4-5 years. There is SpiceWorks.com, which counts more than 2 million IT Professionals/DevOps

Really, how many more investors are going to be sold a “bag of goods” in this so called new DevOps space?!

I never think stealth mode is a good idea – making the most of these kind of press opportunities to encourage traffic is important, but at least they are asking for testers even if nobody knows what they’re signing up for.
