As an editor and proofreader, naturally I prefer using my BlackBerry to any other type of smartphone since it’s so much easier to type, text, and read, etc. Let’s hope the sales are great so that we aren’t all forced into using the alternatives!

I can’t wait for the new one!

IDK, I look at Windows Phone 8 and see how some popular third party app developers kinda either hold off on creating apps for WP8 or skip it all together. It took a while for Android to get where it is today as far as a modern smart phone OS and it had a healthy profitable company backing it. RIM really needs to change its business model in some strategic way and playing in the same league as Apple, Google, and Microsoft might not be it.

Of course people in North America are buying fewer BB7 phones – the BB10 phones are coming out in two months – so plenty are waiting!

For example, I bought two Blackberries for my family last year – why would I buy more BB7 phones so close to the new BB10???

When the new phones come out, we are purchasing four.
