The damage done by Obama’s crony capitalism in the cleantech space did not foul the public’s view of solar energy at all. It merely reaffirmed that the people’s money should not be given to the President’s cronies but to properly vetted basic research programs. It’s the basic researchers that took the hit; his cronies live on.
