Passbook itself doesn’t do much, but the third-party developers are already adding features at a rapid rate. Google will be getting in that game as well with their own Passbook equivalent.

The question will be, can independent products like Shopular survive as Apple and Google start to assimilate the coupon market with their in-house products. Same problem applies to Lemon and other mobile wallet systems.
