RIM has learned from the PlayBook launch that it’s better to release a fully-developed product later than one that is not perfect. This thing rocks! It is from everything I’ve seen, ready to take on all the competition.

First off you’re an idiot. Second, this is a leaked video and the software isn’t finalised. The software in no part mirrors iOS in any manner as mentioned that this is an OS re-engineered. If have used iOS you would know that or even tested the beta builds of BlackBerry 10 as I have been doing since its release on the Dev Alpha unit.

BB10 devices are going to suck. They’ll feel low quality and cheap (Playbook anyone?). No one will want one after they touch it.

Jayk, that was the old management. The new management was stuck with the old, slow schedule, so time wasn’t on there side initially. What the new management has done in a year is phenomenal.

The sheer fact that they failed to launch BB10 in time for the Christmas shopping season is proof enough that they don’t get it. History is littered with superior products that failed miserably.

What part of that has ANYTHING to do with the way iOS operates… at all? iOS has a drop-down bar at the top for notifications, pages of applications, and a home button at the bottom. BB 10 has notifications (if you’d limit the Hub by calling it notifications) on the left side of… anything, the launcher pushed off the right side of the screen, and multitasking with gestures. That’s like saying MacOS = Windows, since there is a mouse and keyboard.

Nicolas – why would you say it is a variant of iOS? This is a fully re-engineered system.

BB10 is gonna be great. RIM is the company that put smart in the phone back in 1999-2000. Apple made the smart phone a pocket computer while RIM is asleep – in so doing both Apple and android systems took a negative bite out of “productivity” when using phones. RIM is now fully awake and BB10 is again put another quantum leap in “productivity” of the phones.

Research in Motion has kept their newest operating system and hardware support – collectively known as BB10 – under tight wraps. But the leaks have finally started happening, and from what we can see so far, everything looks very sleek and modern – on the hardware side, at least.

It’ll be interesting to keep tabs on how RIM fares in the future, with increased competition from Apple, Android, and Windows Phone.
