I see 2 scenarios:

1. Buy this camera, install a VOIP app and not have a cell phone. This saves you from carrying a redundant device and $ on cell phone and plan.

2. Buy a quality “regular”digital camera, then move the microSD card to your cell phone when you want to post your pics. This saves you from this expensive camera and $5/mo.

I believe thats a laucnh price only …but they will have to drop down gradually to gain from this product…as vis-a-vis the current options though not so well connected by technology ..still works better when are ratinalize your expense vs comfort the technology can provide you….

I remember digital cameras that didn’t cost me anything a month. Hooked to a printer and presto. Instant pics.

That’s crazy world! The Galaxy Camera is probably a fine upgrade over standard high-end smart phones, but at $550 you can also buy a camera that’s significantly better!

I can see in business applications the ability to give an employee an LTE-enabled camera-only (so the worker can’t use apps) would be useful. But most photo-enthusiasts would rather buy a new lens than this.
