Facebook has done it. LinkedIn has done it. Tumblr has done it.

They started with connections and now that they have a communications network built-up, they&#039;re moving up the content stack. Monetizing it with native products powered by their social data (underneath their connections and the activity of those connections).

Publishers need access to the same data.

Basically, publishers need a new CMS. Or a better deal with the platforms.]]></description>
