		<description><![CDATA[There&#039;s another benefit for Apple in extending Maps to the desktop.  It&#039;s been said repeatedly that to improve Maps, Apple needs user contributions and input.  Google Maps had its own rocky start but has had the benefit of user-submitted corrections for many years now; Google Maps has also had the advantage of being available to those users on all platforms through all web browsers.  So far, Apple Maps is only available to three categories of device.  Broadening the user base and ease of access is vital to opening that pipeline of user input.  

I don&#039;t know if similar concerns apply to Siri, but they might.  Now if Apple would just release an OS X iBooks app...]]></description>
