We opted for Cox over Fios here in NOVA. The Cox app TV Connect streams for free about 40 real channels (not the basic over-the-air stuff). No need for a HomeRun!

Nice to hear you took my advice and upgraded your wireless router. The HDHomeRun works great with MCE as well given that the options for good PCI tuners in HTPC boxes is limiting and somewhat complicated to set up. I particularly like how the HDHomeRun doesn't require you to have a set-top box nearby to work, just the coax cable, and no silly IR blasters to deal with either.

Buy a cheap 2-drive NAS box, and you could set up a full home media server as well as a "no-limit" DVR with the HDHomeRun. I've already got the My Movies MCE plug-in running on my 10" netbook.

The HDHomerun works great with EyeTV on the Mac. There is also an EyeTV iOS app, and you can stream to your phone from off-site no worries!
