There&#039;s an overseas model, adopted in Korea and numerous other countries, where the government finances the roll-out of glass fiber to the home. Wholesale gigabit-per-second speeds are then available, and various commercial retailers sell it to the customers.

The United States would be wise to adopt the same model, expensive as it is, rather than wait for Google to do it one sector at a time over the next few decades, or even worse, wait for the rest of the world to overtake.]]></description>
