I think it would be fair to mention SAP HANA as well in the list – after all, it’s more like a native in-memory database than it’s current competitors…

If Hadoop ecosystem is slow and not up to the task, what ecosystem(s) are you suggesting as an alternative?

This is a brilliant direction if they can pull it off. The Hadoop ecosystem is slow and not up to the task of operational BI. Execution is a far cry from having a plan, so it will depend on how well Platfora can disrupt a market that has every incentive to shut it down.
