As David must know, most of us joined Tumblr to escape Facebook, so I doubt he’d sell it. I became a member last year and deleted my Facebook account in early June. Why? Because I was sick and tired of everyone and everything there. All the stress, and hate, and pressure, and lying was starting to drive me crazy. And Tumblr is the exact opposite. It’s not a place for everyone, believe me. It’s a place to escape reality, to be who you are, to express your opinions and tastes and share your thoughts without the fear of being judged. It’s a magical place, really. And 90 minutes per month my ass! I spend 2 hours (at least) everyday on Tumlbr.

Tumblr is looked as a place to escape the world shared by wonderful strangers.. it’s a place for people who want to get away from the worlds of Facebook and MySpace and other social sites where family and friends see what you post. Tumblr would be so pissed and angry if Facebook were to ever buy our haven. Clearly the writer of this only thought about money and not why so many people like myself use Tumblr.
