Interestingly, software that manages big data is only a part of bringing value to an organization trying to find what’s ‘hiding’ in their data. Outside of these technologies, there needs to be a host of other capabilities that serve information management on one side and operations/execution on the other. After talking at a Forrester conference last week, I wrote this up:
