I live in San Diego and frequent the car2go & Uber service. I think this will definitely work in my area for 2 reasons. The first being that I usually use car2go when going to a bar/club so that I do not have to go back the next morning and pick-up my car. Having the ability to use the same app to get a ride home would be pretty convenient. The second being that cabs in San Diego are pretty horrible. They always ask where you are going and if it is not were they would like to drive, they say they are on a call and speed off (if they stop at all). I try to complain and report specific cab drivers to my local transit authority (MTS) but I never get any response back. The fact that you can rate the driver will hopefully encourage them to provide better service and the live tracking will allow myself to see if the cab actually is on it's way (cabs will respond to the operator that the customer has been serviced even though they never came by).
