Make sure you remove the protective film off the camera and flash

Yes I agree, Iphone 5 camera is not good in low-light situation. When we capture a picture in low or dim light (usually Night) then we see its picture quality is effects it is due some problem in phone camera. Camera works perfect in day light or bright atmosphere. That much is obvious, but why does the 5 show it with a purple tint, whereas the 4S shows it as blue?

The blue is clearly coming from the LED on the speaker.

Hmm… Looking through my 400+ iPhone 4S photos it’s really odd in that I cannot find ANY purple like this in them. In the 20+ I have taken with the iPhone 5 I can spot 5 already that have purple in them from random shots.

But sure, any camera. Just not the 3GS, 4 and the 4S had the problem this bad.

How can people be such idiots. The purple light in the later dark room photos is coming from the LED on the speaker! How dense can you be!? “And lookie there, the iPhone 5 shot has some purple in it.” SIGH. This would’ve happened with any camera.

The reason it doesn’t show up in the bright photo is that the Bright room light is overpowering the dim LED!

Sadly to me this means that the iPhone 5 which sadly I already have is not the phone for me. I’m within my return period just not sure what to replace it with.

Happens in all light. The first pic I took was in normal light in my living room. The sun coming from the window above my subject created the purple haze. No blue in the shot. This is a hardware issue due to the sapphire lens imo.
