An extra point, the YouTube information page about the appeals process states “OR send a legal copyright notification. In this event, the video will be taken down and the uploader will receive a copyright strike.” How does this relate to the copyright holders’ current ability to leave the video up while displaying ads on it? If the uploader does not appeal the copyright claim, can the copyright holder leave ads on it, but if the uploader appeals the only solution is to have the video taken down completely?
