Visual beauty is only one aspect of design. Keeping things simple and comprehensive is also important and unfortunately the more difficult task. I have come across many applications that are visually stunning but not comprehensive enough. I am particularly facing this problem with my own startup, http://shadence.com . I have spent many nights rethinking and redesigning the application to make the user journey and interface simple, and I still believe that there is a room for improvement.

We all talk about design a lot, but it is only when you get down and dirty with designing products that you realize how difficult it really is.
