In my point of view, iPhone 5 case is not so bad. Instead of a stainless steel mid-frame sandwiched between two pieces of glass, the iPhone 5 now is made out of aluminum, just like Apple notebooks or desktops, and this does a number of things for the iPhone. For one, it makes the entire device stronger. Instead of having a solid piece of glass on the front and back, there’s now just glass on the front. Instead of both of these glass slabs being attached to the front and back separately, now the phone’s case is made out of one piece of aluminum, with the front display sitting flush in the iPhone. You can instantly feel just how solid and well built the iPhone 5 is the first time you pick it up. in the case you want to protect your iPhone 5 better. you may get an plastic or wood case for it.

Gotta say, I’m a pretty huge fan of the Otterbox Commuter case- http://www.iphone5cases.com/230/iphone-5-cases/otterbox-commuter-iphone-5-case. It’s way less bulky than the Defender case, and provides all the protection I need and still fits in my pocket.

It feels very engineered and designed too, lots of little bevels and angles on it. And this generation is better than the last one because the camera hole is much bigger and much more useful. I also really like how it protects the docking port and earphone jack too. All in all, I’d say it’s my favorite case.

Of course… the lunatik case is going to be the most heavy duty case around, but it looks like it’ll weigh in at 10 pounds and be the size of the ipad mini when it’s through!
