Ever wonder what it’s like herding hundreds of tech journalists into an Apple event first thing in the morning? Even if you haven’t, here’s a fun time lapse video we created showing what it’s like leading up to an iPhone announcement.

This post will not give you any new insight into Apple’s slew of announcements today. My colleagues have provided ample and exemplary analysis.

This post will, however, show those non-tech journalists out there, what it’s like to start lining up at 8 a.m. for big Apple event. My colleague Casey Bisson and I headed over to Yerba Buena this morning and shot a time-lapse video of the crowd gathering and entering the event. Consider it the amuse bouche, or refreshing aperitif, to go with all the Apple coverage you’ll read today. And tomorrow. And over the weekend.

P.S. Be sure to watch for the dance crew that showed up part way through.

  1. I like the pigeon :)

    1. That’s really why I shot the video. It just happened to coincide with some Apple event.

  2. Ridiculous! “War and famine all around, but here’s a funny app.”
