Thanks Martin. I really meant one of those sites integrating a system as opposed to a third-party add-on.

Also, I notice streamed.in is your company: http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=85796612

Good luck with that!

I think these guys let you bring people on and off pretty dynamically. I think it's kind of like the old adage about how a meeting with more than 4 or 5 people in it is far less effective.

No one I know seriously uses Google+. Maybe you've never tried getting folks on a hangout, but it's really hard because they all have to sign up for +. That wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take over your GMail account and make a general nuisance of itself.

I'd like to see a product like this offered by or in close partnership with Facebook or LinkedIn.

Just an afterthought: four participants is perhaps a bit too low, especially if you want to have room to pull in additional commentator. I have never used up the nine spaces google hangouts are giving, but four would certainly offer too many constraints.

Competition is always good, although I do not see many differences with Google+ Hangouts that could (and probably will) be added soon.
One of the challenges for organizing these video broadcasts is getting your audiences, both the terms of panelists (to use an offline equivalent) and the audience at large. Although Google+ is still lagging compared to Twitter and Facebook, it looks to have the best card to deal with that challenge.
