The Avengers and Hunger games are not available for free yet because there is a 90-day waiting period after they become available on DVD…

You don’t need to pay prime in order to pay for the $2.99-$4.99 on demand movies.
The Prime sub allows you to watch some of the movies in the library at no additional cost…

If you look at Amazon prime’s current offerings, these popular movies do not come free. No – rather Amazon has chosen to provide the privilege to stream these to their customers the day it is released – Amazon Prime members still must pay the piper for new titles such as “Marvels: The Avengers” and “The Hunger Games”.

“Prime members pay $79 per year for unlimited two-day shipping and other perks, like streaming video”. Plus the privilege of paying $2.99 – $4.99 for popular movies and not even in HD. A scam.
