The article discusses crowdsourcing as journalism. I would say legitimate journalists would not ask the stupid questions I cited as example, so in that sense, crowdsourcing failed. Also, you have to admit, something like this forum is a favorable audience for the president. I assure you the same crowd would not be talking about Romney's favorite basketball team.

He has spent the entire campaign seeking out friendly local market interviews. Even going as far as to invite reporters to speak with him n a specific topic that makes him look good ? Entertaining questions about his favorite food and preferred super power. The interview below says it all.

Did you even check that Reddit AMA page? There were all kinds of questions there. Some of them very probing and some tough ones that Obama usually avoids (Eg: drug-related). Obama, as typical of a politician on the campaign trail, chose one or two serious questions that would help him use his regular talking points, and one or two that would allow him to joke with the public and banter with them.

Doug,

Why are you being deliberately misleading? There were plenty of very intelligent and probing questions that Obama did not respond to. You deliberately decided to ignore them?

Reddit is part of the Internet. If you have spent any time on the Internet, you should know that it is a mix of the good, the bad and the silly. Actually, if you spent any time on the Internet, you would also know that b.s. comments such as yours would be called out.
