With my compact digital camera, I hardly ever charge it.

One battery saving feature of a regular camera is that it can be turned off and on quickly, since the camera turns on in a few seconds. My Android phone probably takes 20-30 seconds to turn on. Does this Nikon camera turn on any faster?
