brainstorming is not that bad idea after all. Brainstorming within employees gives a buzz and sense of ownership which could be useful for startup. Well that’s my take from brainstorming for the name CloudFactory.

If not compromising on the domain name is important (getting a .com and having an exact match and not adding “-app” or “-inc”), then it can be helpful to start with a list of names you can for sure acquire. Yup, selecting a name for my (website designing) company was one of the most toughest task. I still remember trying to come up with a catchy name for one month (unsuccessfully). Finally during one long journey I decided to go with ‘InventiKa’. That name (inventika.com) was taken so I named my company ‘Inventika Solutions’. Since along with websites, I also planned to go into designing graphics.
