I think its a hard one to call as there are both pros and cons regarding the issue. However my personal opinion is that they should not censor it

But not all countries are the same and how do you acount for coutries where violnce is a more acepted part of political discourse (Germany/France as opposed to the UK)

I think censoring social media by governments or even totally blocking social media such as twitter and facebook (blocked in China) is just another way to control and manipulate citizens. Whether it results in more or less violent protests I think is very difficult to ascertain.
