Popular electronics repair site iFixit just launched its Android app on Google Play, making it possible to use your mobile device as the repair manual for your MacBook while its internals are spilled all over your kitchen table. The app is optimized both for tablets and phones and runs on any Android device featuring version 2.2, also known as Froyo. And its available completely free of charge.

Check out a few screenshots I took of the app on my HTC One S below:

iFixit launched an app for iOS last fall.

Also worth noting: The app is open source, and developers interested in kick-starting their own Android efforts can take a peek at the source code on Github.
