Wait… what? If you are using an Android phone, the phone’s calendar, along with most other data, is already hosted in Google’s cloud. So, it’s not like Google is getting access to any new information from the phone. And if you are not using an Android phone, you don’t have to worry about Google Now. Finally, even if you use an Android phone, I am sure you don’t have to use Google Now.

Sorry to say, but your comment sounds like nonsense to me.

You have to explicitly allow Google to look at your information, before they provide you with anything.

It’s easy to label something as “nonsense”, but I think that’s just an overreaction. Many apps scan your calendar/mail, etc (with your permission.) That doesn’t mean they are reading your private information, just accessing it to provide you with a service.

It’s your choice to use it or not.
