It’s all very well saying that the apps will be password protected, but there’s nearly always a ‘Remember my Password’ function, and the software would be a magnet for hackers. Other than that I think that being able to control your whole home from afar is great, but until the apps are guaranteed to be impenetrable I’d prefer to stick to a normal CCTV streaming app.
