Just look at the figures. Average smartphone consumption is just a fraction of that number. So compared to what the 200 to 300 MB the average Joe consumes, yes, I find that astonishing. Perhaps you’re consuming 2 GB+ each month, and if you are, more power to you. You paid for that data, you should use it to the hilt. But I assure you that kind of usage is not the “norm”.

1.3GB = “astonishing”??? Wow. Someone’s sure bought into carriers’ bandwidth marketing mantra rather than the norms of reality.

On average I use about 30 gigabites a month with my Verizon unlimited data plan.I use my smartphone to tether to my TV and laptop.
