There are other websites trying to explore the market of letting people meet strangers with similar interests through video chat like streamed.in and Runfaces. In the case of streamed.in you also have a fully functional network where you can maintain the friendships you have established through the video chat service and you can also conduct video conferences with up to 12 people, like on Google+.
