The allure and usefulness of a ‘closed garden’ operating system will continue to degrade over time. If my laptop forced me to use the comparatively dismal Safari (or IE) every time I clicked a link in my email, I would have words with the OS maker.
The (near) future of mobile operating systems has to become more open, or the manufacturers will face the same anti-competitive suits that Microsoft faced in the late 90′s.

For the desktop version, they should have added the 2 line page description (that one is used to seeing on Google / Bing) when you hover your mouse over each result. Thumbnails only offer a limited idea of whats on the page.
