Way cool, this is going to add to the fun. Google is at a fast pace right now. They are raising the bar. I find it very interesting that Google made this announcement since Bing just went through another over haul. You can bet that Bing will not be far behind added something new or better soon. As far Yahoo!, the CEO issue really did not help them much, none actually. Bad PR Yahoo! If they can do some great thing's Yahoo! still has a chance to capture some visitors and revenue again. There is another search engine still gaining ground and that is Blekko. They have made some strides recently as well. Although FaceBook is a major player, I never have found there search to be useful. I think FaceBook should stick to the social media services and stay out of search. They probably will not do that, but I can say I will not be a searcher on them.

Yet to see this come up in my searches, but from what i read it think it's great - still the majority of search is information based, so being able to deliver that quicker should in theory be a more favourable user experience.

But this is also going to cut off traffic to other sites. Google is cutting off traffic to the sites it indexes. Soon there will be no need for the Web just Google and Facebook
