Quite fascinating. Probably the biggest squeeze for the Pirate as it is positionned is its will to take contro lof the political power, i nthe ay it is organized today (getting representatices, ministers, ...) because, at some point, it calls for "content ideas" applied to every day concrete problems, and the diverse nature of their political ideologies will be a very strong constraint. A version we have invented in France is the citizen movement Politic Angels, which aims at influencing the (local) politics from "outside", i.e. through citizens proposing actions aimed at improving public life, and voting for it on line. The vote intervenes through the act-email platform, where e-mails of official decision makers are input, which allows any citizen to write directly to mayors, deputies, ministers... You can see an example here (http://www.politicangels.com/actions_details.php?cat=14#35), in an action targeted to improve cost control of garbage policies (a domain where France could save 1 Bn€ a year at equivalent level of service).

Hi,

it is all mostly very true that you write, except for one detail - the party didn't rule out any coalition, but they say it is a decision of the party base - so that decision can be made at every forthcoming general assembly.

cheers and thanks for that nice article :-)
