Flat 3D (stereo image) is not 3D. It is projected on flat surface. It does not work and I really doubt it ever will.
It would have to be all CGI real time rendered with the ability for a viewer to peek behind the corners to be real 3D. And it has to be projected in three dimensionl space for human eyes and visual system to be able to view it normally (and without headache).

I I think 3D is a gimmick am rooting for it to fail.

If (high-quality) glasses-free 3D becomes a reality AND the 3D price premium disappears then I would reconsider.

I feel sure that auto-stereoscopic or glasses-free 3D is really necessary to get 3D started outside theaters. Viewing it on tablets may be the way it begins.
