Craig we couldn't agree more. Yes there is a need for companies to go mobile but simply popping a carbon copy site up does little but show you've recognized a need and aren't willing to devote more than a head nod to it. The mobile movement as been underway for a while now and over the next year or so there will be a flood of new companies joining it but the ones who will actually benefit are the ones who commit to customization and build sites that stand out. The proof is as simple as looking at the hundreds of thousands of companies who built plain-text desktop websites just to get on board when the first web boom hit, and quickly found themselves out of business when they didn't bother trying to customize. Don't get sucked into templates, be creative, be unique. http://fiddlefly.com

Let me tell you ABC Family mobile site was not developed by using Duda Mobile Templates. That is a customized design. Sure this helps get content mobile friendly and fast, but an automated system is not the answer for the best mobile optimized web experience. All this will do is confused and leave a bad mobile experience for most. Don't bandaid you mobile site with a system like this. Mobile is a huge factor in your brand and commerce experience. Spend the dollars and get it done right.
